I had the pleasure of volunteering with two of my students to teach crochet at Brooklyn's Fleece Festival yesterday :) Kinda interesting to see the fiber before it becomes yarn ;)

There were sheep and goats, but I decided to stick with the people!

Been playing with my beads lately, but have an order for a baby blanket, so I'll be back at it soon. May do the Brooklyn Fleece Festival (scroll down http://www.prospectpark.org/event/main.cfm?target=showall# for details).

Managed to finish up a shawl started awhile ago; wore it today since the weather's warming up...finally!

In more of a mindset to make garments I can actually wear, so I'm gonna buckle down soon to focus more on designing.

Tune in Thursday, April 22, 2004 to see the in-store demo I did in March for National Crochet Month on Scene and Seen [in Brooklyn ONLY; Channel 68 (Cablevision) or Channel 35 (TimeWarner)] at 2:00 pm, and again at 10:00 pm.

Alas, National Crochet Month has come and gone. I kept pretty busy by teaching 6 classes, doing an in-store promo, which will be on a local cable show later this month, and making squares for Warm Up America.

Now I'm gonna spend a little more time beading :)
